Biography

A staunch proponent of the teacher-scholar model, Dr. Shukla is a longtime advocate for inclusive excellence in STEM. Dr. Shukla is an expert in nonlinear dynamics and its applications to engineered and natural systems.

Prior to joining Â鶹´«Ã½, he was the department chair of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Miami University (Ohio) where he was also a founding director of the Miami University Center for Assistive Technology. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MNNIT (India), and a Master of Science and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
